Kandy Station manufacture and supply their own range of chocolate and sweet gifts, such as filled Sweet Jars, Sweet Boxes and our famous Chocolate Bouquets.
Where are you located and what service/products do you offer?
Kandy Station is located on the Wirral, just outside Liverpool.
Kandy Station has a great website www.kandystation.co.uk with what they believe to be the UK’s biggest and best range of sweets. They supply a huge range of retro sweets to take you back to your childhood, such as Kola Cubes, Rhubarb & Custard, Wham Bars and Love Hearts to name a few. They also stock an ever-expanding range of modern sweets and candy, including the highly popular American Candy brands, such as Reese’s, Mike & Ike, Wonka and Hershey’s.
How long have you been involved in the industry?
Kandy Station was established in 2011 by the founders, Ian and Rebecca after they both lost their jobs.
The company was started when Ian bought Rebecca a Chocolate Bouquet as a gift and although she enjoyed the chocolate Rebecca she wasn’t overwhelmed with the quality and design of the product. Rebecca and Ian then set out to design the most beautiful and best quality Chocolate Bouquets on the market.
What planning advice would you give to couples?
The best advice that we could offer to couple planning their wedding is to remember that it is YOUR special day. When getting married there is a lot of pressure to please others but have the wedding of your dreams and nobody else’s.
Have you got any trend tips for couples planning their own wedding?
Throughout 2017 there seems to have been a trend for smaller weddings, this may be for cost reasons, or otherwise. However, we think that a small, intimate wedding is great.
In 2017 we have also seen a lot of dessert bars full of miniature cakes, donuts, cookies and candy – a bit of a dream for us here at Kandy Station
Have any weddings you attended left a lasting impression and why?
We recently attended a great wedding that was simply perfect for the bride and groom. The bride’s favourite flower a sunflower and the groom was a huge Everton fan; this lead to the blue and yellow theme. The event was wonderfully themed even down to the tables at the wedding breakfast being named after Everton players.
