Sue Williamson is an Independent Celebrant offering bespoke ceremonies, based in the North West of England, but will travel anywhere.
How long have you been involved in the industry?
I have been involved for 3 years - in that time I have officiated at many weddings of all types, from small intimate gatherings, to celebrity weddings covered by OK! magazine, in which I was featured with full credits.
What planning advice would you give to couples?
Keep to your budget, write everything down and keep it in a folder, use a new email address for all things related to your wedding.
Have you got any trend tips for couples planning their own wedding?
Outdoor ceremonies, led by a Celebrant, and including symbolic elements such as a hand-fasting are increasing in popularity. if you choose a Celebrant for your ceremony it does not have to be in a licensed venue, so you can marry outdoors.
Have any weddings you attended left a lasting impression and why?
All my weddings leave a lasting impression because they are unique, personal and all about the couple, with bespoke vows and symbolic elements - this makes them all unforgettable.
Any other information you like to add?
Choose your celebrant carefully, and contact them early - good celebrants get booked up way ahead.
